The Ultimate Vacation In Korcula

The first time I heard the word Korcula, I get curious on what is it. It sounded like a giant spider to me, but little did I know that is one of the most awesome places in the world.

It in fact an island in the Adriatic Sea, in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County of Croatia. It is a haven of Mediterranean flora including extensive pine forests. More than its natural resources, the place is also a niche of music lovers wherein they would gather everyone every year for their Korkyra Baroque Festival. It will showcase the world’s leading ensembles and soloists specialized in Baroque music.

Korcula is also a place of the finest vineyards and production of unique white wine called 'GRK' in its Lumbarda village and Posip in Cara. Beach-wise, the entire Korcula is surrounded with places having clear and clean waters that are very ideal for cooling off from the excruciating heat of summer. If you’re considering Mediterranean cruises for your much awaited vacation, maybe you’d also consider Korcula as one of your stop-overs.

If you’re more on the cultural side traveler, they can also offer you their rich history that stretched from the 14th century. In fact, the whole of the Korcula Old Town is surrounded by 14th century thick stone walls and towers that were once used against its passers. Now that we are in the 20 th century, they can also give you the modern party that you’re longing when night time comes.

What more can you ask for? Your most wanted and ultimate vacation can found in this majestic place.
