Just chatted with my family back in Philippines. My siblings are all living in Quezon City and they told me that the Signal No.2 'Basyang Typhoon' is now on active. Hope that it wont not harm anything there. I've been into several typhoons before in Manila but hope nothing will be the same as the last typhoon 'ONDOY'.
As for now brownouts are expected in different areas. Normal when having typhoon. This is for safety. Manila has so much of squaters area and electricity wirings are not safe. So better switch it off when typhoon is present.
Affected provinces:
Storm signal number 1 has been declared in Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, the rest of Quezon, Marinduque, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Ifugao, Benguet, and La Union.
Storm signal number 2 has been delacred in Camarines Norte, Northern Quezon, Rizal, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Lubang Island, Laguna, Batangas, Bataan, Pampanga, Zambales, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Bulacan, and Metro Manila.
