Winter Starts | Winter Time In Norway

Look at the pictures, I took this early in the morning. This was yesterday and I cannot even see the train station because of fogging. It's very cold now and slippery on the road. Snowing did not fall yet but pretty soon it comes.

The trees are covered with white particles and the roof of the houses too. Last year, the winter comes very early. So this year quite ok because it did not came so early. So winter here you come. Clothes must be ready, scarf and gloves.

Oslo Trip Yesterday

Yesterday, I decided to go in Oslo. I met a friend there. Roaming around Oslo is not that easy, it is cold outside and as you all know Oslo is a big city. I did not buy any special, I am looking for some shoes but then I did not find one. Oslo City and Oslo S is the two big areas where you can go in. In Oslo City that is the mall where boutiques are located. There you can find everything that you need. In Oslo S, there is where the train station stops. There are also stores inside and restaurant. I took the local train just because I love local trains than those regional one. Regional train doesn't stop every station.

Well, I was in Oslo yesterday from 12noon until 6. I took train back and glad that it all went fine. I want to take pictures inside and outside but it was too cold to go out. I was busy checking and finding out shoe stores too!

Sweden Trip Soon!

It is now started to get colder and colder everyday. From school today , I saw some papers in our kitchen table and while scanning through it I saw a lot of sale items for winter and I suddenly ask and wonder the name of the boutique. Unfortunately it is not here in Norway, they can be buy in sweden. So, I suddenly think of going to Sweden this weekend or next weekend. Sweden is not that far from here, we are neighbor country. So I am excited to finally come and see Sweden.

Well anyway, the real purpose is Shopping. They sell lots of items that are more cheaper than here in Norway. So hope I can find a way to travel. So Sweden here I come!!!

Going To Denmark!

A friend of mine is on their way to Denmark today. I really love to travel there. She actually invited me to join them but that is a family travel so I don't want too. Aside from that I don't have time this time. I have whole day class and no chance to go with them. Anyway, I search more about Denmark too. It is not that far from here in Norway. Just 2 hours flight trip.



Anyway, another friend of mine shared some photos during their trip to Denmark. I may not traveling there but my friends does always. I am just by picture sight seeing by now. Hoping one day I can really go there. Here are some spots click for Denmark.

Post Cards From Norway

As a blogger is fun! Blogging your interest is really relaxing and can find a lot of information in different ways and can find a lot of friends online. Friendship in a virtual world is exciting. Now, a blogger group online are into exchanging post cards. Since, I am here in Norway I want to send them some stuff also , views and spots that Norway can be proud of.

So I went to the store the other day and bought post cards. They are not as cheaper as what I expected but it is fun! So I bought 20 pcs. The end of this week I am planning to send my first batch to my friends. I also bought some sticker in addition to decorate more! I am ready to ramble with post card exchange.

Travel To Askim In Norway

Today , my 1st ever travel to the place where I will take one week course. It is called Askim. I am proud that I was able to took train back alone from one station to home! My mind is always occupied with hesitation LOL!

Maybe because I don't used to take train. It goes fine at all, thanks GOD for the strength he gave. I hope that I will be used to take train... I mean , hoping that I can manage everytime!

Thanks to my mates also who helped me and teach me how to check on the computer schedule which train and in which lane should I take!

Weekend At Sandefjord

My first time to travel and visit my SIL in sandefjord. We go there by car and then boat for 30 minutes. It was good and finally I was able to see the beauty of Sandefjord. Perfect place and we had really good time walking at the centrum where they used to go by malling and walking along the sea.

My 1st time visit was perfect together with my family. Thanks GOD for the nice weather and perfect day for all and safe travel.

The Hovedoya Field Trip

Finally our school trip was done last Wednesday. I am really glad to experienced first time boating from Oslo to the island called hovedoya. Tiring but fun. I have here some photos from our trip!

I met pinays too there. They are also studying same course as me. So glad, I met more and more Filippinene.

Travel Advisory: Flights Stranded

A powerful ash explosion from a volcanic eruption in Iceland affected the air traffic in northern and western Europe, over 10,000 of air passengers are stranded now. This is really sad, traveling is hard and knowing now that they are still stranded and do not know yet when the flight will goes back to normal. The whole airspace in Norway, Ireland, UK, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden are closed.

Ash contains tiny particles of glass which can effect plane engines, possible of danger in losing of power. Another thing is that the news said that Norway might experience some ashfall from Iceland. They are sending warnings to keep indoor most specially those who has the health problems. Like, asthma, heart problems and more.

The Pride of Norway

This is now the pride of Norway, folks. This is Holmenkollen Ski Jump in Oslo. Very nice and indeed really good attraction for all. We are looking forward to visit there one day, it's not that far from where i live, so excited!


Next year 2011 , Holmenkollen will host the Nordic World Ski Championship. This will be fun, folks. Cheering Norway's athletes will be more exciting.

Winter Olympics Updates!

Nice to watch on Winter Olympic games in Vancouver. This is actually my first time to watch it on TV. Athletes from different country are really gifted and very talented. I cannot imagine how they got that strong health to represents each country.

For now i am of course cheering Norway! Go go go for more gold...

I’ve been reading one of the leading newspapers in Norway for almost a year now or more. It was introduced by me from someone from Norway also. So if you have relatives or love ones lived in Norway or in Europe country I can share to you the some leading Newspaper this will help you a lot for updates.

You can have easy access for world news update not just particularly in Norway but to all over the world.

1.) VG = is the Norway’s Largest tabloids.

2.) Aftenposten = this is the one I am reading most. Aftenposten is Norway second largest newspaper.

3.) Dagbladet = is the 3rd Largest tabloids in Norway. This is published seven days a week . The publication includes additional weekly feature magazines: Magasinet every Saturday, "Søndag" more oriented towards interior and design every Sunday, "Fredag" focuses on popular culture and young adults every Friday, and also "SportMagasinet" which is a pure feature sports magazine, every Friday.

4.) Adresseavisen = is a regional newspaper published in Trondheim, Norway daily, except Sundays. The newspaper was first published July 3, 1767 as "Kongelig allene privilegerede Trondheims Adresse-Contoirs Efterretninger", making it the oldest Norwegian newspaper still being published. The name has changed several times before the newspaper got its present name. Locally it is sometimes referred to as "Adressa".

5.) Bergen Tidende = Found in 1868, this is a newspaper published daily in Bergen Norway. It’s only available in Norwegian language.

Oslo Opera House

The Oslo Opera House (in Norwegian) is the seat of The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and the national opera theatre in Norway. This building lies in Bjørvika, in the center of Oslo, at the head of the Oslofjord.

Norwegian construction company Veidekke was awarded one of the largest building contracts of the project.

This Opera House was finished in 2007 with the opening event held on April 12, 2008. King Harald V of Norway opened the Opera House that evening at a gala performance attended by national leaders and royalty, including Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
